Governor Beshear has declared a state of emergency after multiple rounds of storms ripped across the commonwealth.
High winds and multiple tornadoes toppled trees, felled power lines and damaged homes and businesses.
Tens of thousands were also without power Tuesday afternoon. Downed power lines and trees blocked roads and even portions of interstate 75.
So far, no injuries or fatalities have been reported. Emergency managers and other personnel, including Kentucky State Police and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, have been deployed to affected areas to help.
The state of emergency also means the commonwealth's price gouging laws are in full effect to protect Kentuckians from overpriced goods and services as they clean up and recover from the storms.
Anyone who suspects price gouging can report to the state Attorney General.
