University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto was recently directed to expedite the school’s progress in assisting the state’s workforce.

The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees directed the school’s president to speed up their workforce prep last Friday. During their annual retreat, the Board discussed recent statewide economic growth and marketing opportunities.

Citing these, they told university president Eli Capilouto to make greater strides in the school’s goal of preparing students to join the workforce during Kentucky’s recent rapid economic growth.

The group wants to expand partnerships with public and private sector organizations to enhance the university's mission in education, research, service and care.
