A suspect has been identified in the shooting death of Jordan Morgan, the daughter of a former state lawmaker in Richmond. Kentucky State Police say a 23-year-old man from Taylor Mill, Kentucky is wanted in the shooting. KSP Sergeant Robert Purdy said his name is Shannon Gilday.

“Shannon Gilday is approximately 6’00 tall, 167 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Surveillance footage showed him wearing a camo or tactical style pants and jacket, dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, gloves, and a light-colored facemask.”

Purdy says believed to be driving a white 2016 Toyota Corolla. Purdy said Gilday is considered armed and dangerous.

“For safety reasons, we ask, if found, do not approach the vehicle or attempt to make contact with the person inside. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Kentucky State Police Richmond Post at 859-623-2404.”

Purdy said the investigation is ongoing. The Kentucky State Police are working with the Richmond Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Coroner, ATF, Madison County Attorney’s Office, and Taylor Mill Police Department.
