As the college basketball season moves into February, the conference schedule beginning to heat up. E-K-U, Morehead, and Murray are all battling for a spot in March’s OVC tournament.
Eastern Kentucky University and Murray State went toe to toe last night in far west Kentucky. The Colonels took the Racers into overtime before losing 85 to 78. EKU fell to three and four in the league while Murray remains unbeaten in conference play. Now, Eastern travels east to take on rival Morehead in a Saturday afternoon contest. The Eagles have won three straight conference games while EKU has dropped its last three. Tipoff is scheduled at 4:30 tomorrow.
