The Bouncing of the Ball This Week

College tournament basketball is off and running this week.    For the first time in 68 years, Eastern Kentucky University has won a post season tourney game.  E-K-U got a hard fought 69-62 victory over Gardner Webb last night in Boiling Springs North Carolina.  The Colonels are competing in the College Insider dot com tournament.  Eastern will learn later today who will be their next opponent.  The University of Kentucky finished its season with a two point loss to Robert Morris in the National Invitational Tournament.  Georgetown College also concluded its season last night with a national championship title.  The Tigers beat Southwestern Assemblies of God 88 to 62 in the finals of the NAIA men’s basketball championship.  The last time the men’s team won the national championship was 1998.
