The acting director of the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission has announced her retirement, and the commission is searching for a permanent director.
Acting Director Marcia Seiler announced Tuesday she would retire at the end of July and is not seeking the permanent post. She took over as temporary head of the LRC in 2013 after longtime director Bobby Sherman resigned abruptly following LRC employee complaints of sexual harassment by a lawmaker.
The LRC said Tuesday it has begun a search for a new director to fill the position by Oct. 1.
The position pays $120,000 to $140,000 annually.
