Democratic attorney general candidate Andy Beshear says he has $1.5 million in cash available to spend less than a month before the primary elections.
Beshear, who is unopposed in the primary, raised more than $350,000 during the last quarter, the largest amount reported Wednesday afternoon as statewide political candidates raced to file fundraising reports before midnight to avoid penalties.
Topping the list are the four Republican candidates for governor, none of whom has announced fundraising totals yet.
Elsewhere, Republican agriculture commissioner candidate Ryan Quarles says he has just over $90,000 in cash available to spend while GOP rival Richard Heath reported just under $50,000 available.
In the crowded primary for state treasurer, Democrat Rick Nelson has a little over $100 available to spend while Republican Jon Larson has just over $6,000.
