Alison Lundergan Grimes Seeking Re-Election to Sec. of State Seat

sos.ky.gov

Alison Lundergan Grimes is seeking another term as Kentucky’s Secretary of State.

Grimes made the announcement Monday afternoon at a news conference in Lexington.

She had been mentioned as a possible candidate for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general.

Grimes was the Democratic U.S. Senate nominee last year. She lost to Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell, who is now the Senate Majority Leader.

She won the Democratic primary for that race with 77 percent of the vote.
