During a prerecorded coronavirus update Friday afternoon Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,039 new cases of coronavirus in Kentucky, bringing the state total to 70,727.
Governor Beshear also announced six new deaths, bringing that total to 1,197.
The positivity rate in Kentucky is at 4.3% as of Friday afternoon.
