273 Coronavirus Cases Reported in Kentucky Tuesday

During Tuesday afternoon’s coronavirus update Governor Andy Beshear announced 273 new cases of the virus in Kentucky. That brings the total number of cases in the state to 53,319.

The governor pointed out that many labs were closed for the Labor Day holiday and that he expects many more cases reported in the coming days.

Gov. Beshear also announced one new death. Since the start of the pandemic, 997 Kentuckians have died from the virus.

The positivity rate in Kentucky as of Tuesday afternoon is at 3.91%.
