During Wednesday afternoon’s coronavirus update Governor Andy Beshear announced 816 new cases of the virus in Kentucky. It brings the state total number of cases to 49,991.
The governor announced 18 additional deaths. So far, 966 Kentuckians have died from COVID-19. Governor Beshear pointed out that in just the last three days 36 Kentuckians have died from the virus.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the positivity rate in Kentucky remains below five percent at 4.71%.
