During Wednesday's coronavirus update Governor Andy Beshear announced 619 new coronavirus cases in Kentucky. That brings the state's total number of cases to 28,727.
The governor also announced 5 new deaths Wednesday, making for a total of 724 deaths due to COVID-19.
While Gov. Beshear announced that the mortality rate is down, the positivity rate in Kentucky has increased to 5.81%.
Unemployment insurance and coronavirus in Kentucky's prisons were also discussed Wednesday.
