Bus Transportation Services Canceled Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Kentucky River Foothills Development Council

Kentucky River Foothills Development Council announced the suspension of transit routes, effective close of business on March 18. The measure is a precaution to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Foothills Express will continue to operate EKU Yellow Route and Limited Service. Limited Service, for people on dialysis and with other critical needs, will operate under one-to-one service. That’s a Medicaid guideline specifying there be just one passenger per driver.

KRFDC asks that anyone with a health-related transportation emergency please call 859-624-3236 or 1-800-819-7083.

Suspended services include the Berea Bus Route, Richmond Transit Service, Madison County Connector Service, and the Winchester/Clark County Transit Service. Additionally, the Clark County to Lexington Commuter Service, Express Service (curb-to-curb), and Intercity (to airport, train and bus), are suspended.
