WEKU’s Cheri Lawson was among the winners of the AP Broadcasters Contest announced recently. Lawson was presented with three awards: First Place for Special Series Documentary, with"Kentucky Women Break Through"; Second Place for Long Light Feature, with“Crocheting to Help the Homeless”; Second Place for Long Public Affairs,"Kentucky Coloring Parties Help Combat Fear.”
