Louisville Expands Reimage Program With $1.3 Million Federal Grant

WEKU-FM

Louisville Metro Government is expanding its Reimage program thanks to a $1.3 million federal grant.
Reimage is an initiative meant to help teens and young adults who have been involved with the criminal justice system to further their education or find work.

Louisville Metro Chief of Community Building Vincent James says the program offers a second chance to young people who have made bad decisions. He told WFPL, "How do we provide a successful pathway for our citizens that are returning to our community? And Reimage is an opportunity that we have to be able to engage returning citizens to give them an opportunity that they may not have ever had.”

The grant will allow Reimage to recruit 200 more people and to hire four more staffers. More information is at WFPL.org.
