The Eastern Kentucky/Western Kentucky men’s basketball rivalry comes to McBrayer Arena Thursday. It’s the first time the Hilltoppers have come to Richmond since 2007.
Western comes into the 8 p.m. matchup, looking for a 14th straight victory over EKU. The last Colonel win over WKU came in 1987. Just a year ago, the rivalry was renewed in Bowling Green and Eastern almost got the upset. A three-pointer at the buzzer secured the two-point Hilltopper win.
EKU comes into the home contest with a 3-4 record, after defeating Berea last weekend. Western Kentucky stands at 3-3 coming off a loss at University of Nevada Las Vegas.
The EKU-WKU women play at 5:30 p.m.
