Gas Leak in Lexington Requires Homes to Be Evacuated

Lexington police say about 20 homes have been evacuated while repairs are made to a leaking gas line.

The area is east of downtown near Castlewood Park, and police are asking motorists to stay out of the area.

Sgt. Ann Welch says Columbia Gas has advised the repairs will take until around 4 p.m.
