Here’s a Thursday call to our Listener Comment Line from a listener choosing to remain anonymous,
“Your news broadcasts are skipping. The same thing has happened a couple of times in the last couple of days. I don’t know if you listen to your own stations or not but, it was very obvious that something was interfering with the broadcasting of the news. ”
Thanks for your call. We appreciate that message and suspect what you heard was at the same time I heard the problem. Shortly after your phone call, we conducted a “reboot” of our satellite receivers which promptly fixed the problem.
We apologize to our listeners for not getting to it more quickly since we have evidence that this was a problem that had been developing as a sporadic problem for at least a day or two earlier in the week.
Along with a donation, listener Daniel, from Jellico, Tennessee, commented, “I am an alumnus of Eastern Kentucky University. I recently left central KY to move back home and pursue my PhD at the University of Tennessee. My time in Richmond will always be special to me, and WEKU was a big part of that. I'm still listening!”
We welcome your feedback. Write to us at: WEKU@eku.edu, post on Facebook or send a tweet @889weku or leave a voice message at 859-622-1657.
Then tune in for Listener Feedback again next Monday morning at 6:49 and 8:49 or afternoon at 5:33 on 88.9 WEKU.
