The shooting left a teen dead and wounded four others.

The Lexington Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old in connection to the weekend’s fatal mass shooting at a public park.

Late Sunday, police announced they charged 18-year-old Jametrius Griffin
with murder, two counts each of first- and second-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.

A teen, 16-year-old Di’Zhon Robertson, was killed in Saturday's shooting, which occurred at Charles Young Park just before 7 p.m. during the neighborhood’s East End Day celebration. Four others, including two minors, were wounded.

Officials did not provide further details on Griffin.

Community support services are available at Dunbar Community Center Monday beginning at 2 p.m.
