The U.S. Bank branch on Chestnut Street in Berea remains closed.

The 18-year-old accused of shooting and killing two people at a Berea bank will be arraigned in Lexington on Wednesday.

A federal grand jury last week indicted Brailen Weaver in the April 30 fatal shooting of two workers at the U.S. Bank branch in Berea.

Weaver is charged on three counts that would make him eligible for the death penalty. He could also receive life in prison.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Stinnett set Weaver’s arraignment for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Lexington.

Weaver is being held without bond at the Woodford County Detention Center.

He is charged with killing Breanna Edwards and Brian Switzer in an attempted bank robbery.

Weaver allegedly led police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 75 before he was apprehended in Lexington.
