Dunbar High School Principal Marlon Ball was put on paid administrative leave last November. He filed a lawsuit against the school district in February and just learned his contract will not be renewed.

Dunbar High School Principal Marlon Ball's lawsuit against the Fayette County School District has been settled. Neither side released details of the confidential agreement, but Ball's attorney said his client is eligible to apply for a job with the district.

Dunbar High School Principal Marlon Ball was placed on paid administrative leave the day after the apparent suicide of the school’s longtime athletics director. He sued the Fayette County Public Schools District, claiming a district employee had linked the suspension to the death. Tuesday, each side announced the suit was settled. Ball’s attorney, Dale Golden, told WEKU News that his client has since moved to Tampa – with a letter from the superintendent saying he is eligible for rehire in the Fayette school system. Golden said the letter also states there were no conclusions of wrongdoing and no disciplinary action taken against his client. I’m John McGary.
