Repairs To A Partially Collapsed Garage/Trail Construction To Impact Lexington Traffic

lexingtonky.gov

Travel in and around downtown Lexington could be affected by two different projects.

This week, South Mill Street between High and Vine in Lexington will be closed to through traffic 24 hours a day.  The closure will allow a crane to remove debris from the partial collapse of a snow-laden parking garage which happed in February.

Beginning Sunday, construction of Town Branch Commons Trail will move onto Midland Avenue.  One inbound lane and two outbound lanes will be open at all times.  During morning rush, two inbound lanes will be open.  The work will continue for several months.  Once complete, Town Branch Commons will connect Legacy Trail and Town Branch Trail for a 5.5 mile loop downtown. The project is expected to be finished next year.
