Major Sewer Project Near UK Making Progress

Lighter vehicle travel around Lexington is providing an opportunity for faster completion of mandated sewer projects. 

City officials announced today several road closures near the UK campus are scheduled over the next few weeks.  That includes portions of Avenue of Champions and Bolivar Street plus the intersection of Rose Street and Avenue of Champions. 

Division of Water Quality’s Charlie Martin says last fall it was projected the Broadway to Rose Street section wouldn’t be finished until late October.  Now, he says it’s expected to be completed by Memorial Day.?
