Lexington Government Looking For Rehab Contractors

lexingtonky.gov

A call is going out for general contractors to participate in government-sponsored housing rehabilitation programs in Lexington.  Work can range from simple repairs or replacement of broken equipment to major rehab of owner-occupied homes.

Charlie Lanter, director of Grants and Special Programs, says understandably many contractors are busy with new construction. “We certainly understand there are plenty of work for these folks.  We like to think that our jobs pay well and come with the added benefit of knowing that you are helping someone.  So, we think if we can just get the word out, that there would be a lot of businesses and contractors out there that would like to join us,” said Lanter.

Companies of all sizes are encouraged to participate including those working in area like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services.?
