New Tracking Method for City Services in Lexington

wtvq.com

In just a few weeks, Lexington leaf removal crews will begin making runs through neighborhoods.  Weather conditions can often result in altering the curbside pick-up schedule.  Deputy Streets and Roads Director Rob Allen says new this year is ‘City-Gram,' a notification system that alerts residents of any changes.  “People can either get a daily text if their geographical area that they signed up for is being collected or they can get a weekly email, letting them know, hey zone A-3 is pending,” said Allen.

Allen says there is also an interactive map on the city’s web site.  He says about a third of all households in Lexington are included in leaf collection routes.  Collection begins November 4 and is expected to end before Christmas.?
