Some political analysts say the Beshear ad featuring rape survivor Hadley Duvall was easily the most effective of this year's gubernatorial campaign.

In this year’s governor’s race, an ad by Governor Beshear’s campaign featured Hadley Duvall, who was raped and impregnated by her stepfather at the age of 12. The ad was aimed at Beshear’s opponent, Daniel Cameron – and Kentucky’s no exceptions abortion law Cameron defended in court. In Today’s Interview, John McGary speaks with the central Kentucky college student about why she did the ad, and what’s happened since.

John McGary is a Lexington native and Navy veteran with three decades of radio, television and newspaper experience.
