State officials have been making a push for improving infrastructure in rural parts of Kentucky. On a federal level, rural development is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Earlier this month, President Joe Biden appointed a new USDA director of rural development for Kentucky. Today is Tom Carew’s first day on the job. Stan Ingold sat down with Carew to discuss his new post.
