Fayette County Schools Superintendent On Temporary Medical Leave

fcps.net

The Fayette County School Board has granted a temporary medical leave to Superintendent Manny Caulk.

The statement following a virtual board meeting said the leave was granted so Caulk could focus his full energy on his health status.

The board has designated Dr. Marlene Helm to serve as Acting Superintendent.   Helm has served in this capacity for the public school district on multiple occasions.

The 49 year old Caulk underwent surgery in 2015 to remove a malignant tumor from his nasal cavity.
