Governor Beshear Offers New Recommendations For County Hotspots

Governor Beshear calls it “our job” as a state and nation to reverse the uptick in coronavirus cases.  The governor reported 953 new cases of COVID-19, another high mark for a Monday during the current pandemic.  Three deaths were also reported.

Beshear was asked about broadening curfew measures or other restrictive guidelines. “We do have a curfew for restaurants and bars.  Right now we’re not considering a broader curfew than that.  We want to be surgical in how we approach the virus especially in terms of business,” said Beshear.

The governor outlined a number of recommendations for communities seeing red designations for coronavirus.  That includes businesses allowing employees to work from home if possible, rescheduling, postponing, or canceling public events, and ordering more take-out food. The governor said the new measures are recommendations and not mandates.
