Governor Reports 800 Coronavirus Cases Over Fourth Of July Weekend

Kentucky’s coronavirus activity as noted through daily testing is remaining at a relative consistent level.  The governor Monday released information about cases over the Fourth of July weekend.

Governor Beshear’s office reported 255 new coronavirus cases on the Fourth with no associated deaths.  On Sunday, the testing results revealed 280 new cases with again no new deaths.  Finally for Monday, there were 268 newly reported cases.  There were also eight deaths reported which brings the total loss of lives attributed to the virus to 593.

About the Covid-19 update, the governor said, quote, “while day-to-day reported cases fluctuate somewhat, our numbers have been holding remarkably steady even as other states have experienced sharp increases.”  Governor Beshear’s next formal press briefing this week is scheduled Thursday at 4:00 and not Tuesday as in previous weeks.?
