surfky.com

A Kentucky state park is hoping to help set a world fitness record this weekend.  Lake Barkley State Resort Park is participating in an effort to establish the standard for the world's largest simultaneous group workout.  Amber Harris, with the fitness center at the park, says sign-in starts Saturday morning at 11:15 Central Time,  "We are partnering up with someone to help break this world record.” Harris says the park is not trying to fit everyone in just one buildingbut is partnering with other locations.

Harris says admission is being waived for the event.  "Everybody that will come in with sign in with someone who's gonna be here from the group that's putting it on and then I guess they will count them up and it will go from there," added Harris.

The state resort park is participating with other fitness locations all around the world in the coordinated workout.   The nutrition company ViSalus is sponsoring the effort.  The hour-long workout is scheduled to begin at noon.?
