Transylvania Announces Plan For In-Class Instruction And On-Campus Living

Leadership at Lexington’s Transylvania University announced plans Friday for in-class instruction and on-campus residential housing this fall.

Transylvania University President John N. Williams and President Designate Brian Lewis released Transy’s fall re-opening plan.  The private school is moving to a curriculum structured in six modules.

Classrooms are being reviewed to allow social distancing requirements.  Some classes may be offered using remote learning to accommodate faculty member designated as high risk.  A hybrid structure of in-person and remote learning could be implemented to accommodate high risk students.

Transy officials also continue to work on contingency plans for courses to move to entirely remote learning if warranted because of coronavirus activity.  Classes are scheduled to begin August 31st.?
