UK Serves Thanksgiving Dinner at International Table

dailymail.co.uk

For the ninth year, international students at the University of Kentucky staying on campus for Thanksgiving Day will be treated to dinner. Alumni Association Program Coordinator Meg Phillips says she's expecting a crowd at Tuesday night's traditional Thanksgiving feast. Phillips says some American students are expected to join in as well.  "Just for the opportunity to sit down around a table, with some of our international students, to talk to them about their experiences and where they've come from, how they ended up here, what they plan to do afterwards.  If they're gonna stay in America or go back to their home countries," said Phillips.

Phillips says new to the event this year are African and Mongolian themed student performances.  She says 400 guests are expected for the sold out dinner. There are some 2,000 international students at UK with the largest number from China, India, and Saudi Arabia.
