Three institutions of higher education in Kentucky have been cited as top places to work by an industry publication based in Washington, DC. The rankings listed on The Chronicle of Higher Education's website place Frontier Nursing University and Somerset Community College on the "honor roll," meaning they were cited most often across all 12 recognition categories.

Murray State University also makes the list and is cited in two categories — teaching environment and tenure clarity and process. Other categories include work/life balance, job satisfaction, diversity and confidence in senior leadership.

It is the first year Frontier Nursing has made the list. Somerset Community College was also listed in 2011 and 2012, and Murray State is making its fourth appearance.
