A number of Kentucky communities have enacted so-called "fairness ordinances," prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation or perceived gender identity, the most recent of which is Frankfort. The capital city has become the fifth in the state to do so among Lexington, Louisville, Covington and the eastern Kentucky city of Vicco.
