Eastern Kentucky University canceled classes through Friday, citing the escalation of a graffiti threat discovered in a campus building early this week.  An update from campus public safety Wednesday says while there is no evidence of imminent danger, there has been an escalation in the threat, originating from social media.
Campuses will be closed Thursday and Friday. Essential services will remain open, and police presence will continue to be increased.

The threat, discovered Sunday in a men’s bathroom at EKU’s Powell Building, says in part, “Kill all by 10/8/15.”

A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for the threat.
