9,074 new coronavirus cases in Kentucky's weekly report

This week Kentucky reported 9,074 new coronavirus cases bringing the state total to 1,558,436.

2,088 of the new cases were in people age 18 and younger.

65 new deaths were reported, bringing that total to 16,822.

584 Kentuckians were hospitalized with COVID as of Monday afternoon. 88 of those were in the ICU and 36 were on a ventilator.

The positivity rate is at 16.29%.
