Kentucky counts nearly 11,000 new COVID cases in weekly report

This week Kentucky reported 10,949 new coronavirus cases bringing the state total to 1,419,862.

1,535 of the new cases were in people age 18 and younger.

62 new deaths were reported, bringing that total to 16,244.

483 Kentuckians were hospitalized with COVID as of Monday afternoon. 72of those were in the ICU and 28 were on a ventilator.

The positivity rate is at 16.96%.
