Kentucky coronavirus positivity rate falls below 25%

For the first time in weeks, Kentucky’s coronavirus positivity rate is below 25%. At 24.71%, that’s still much higher than it was during most of the pandemic.

8,376 new coronavirus cases and 37 new deaths were reported in Kentucky on Friday.

2,345 Kentuckians were hospitalized with coronavirus as of Friday afternoon. 422 of those were in the ICU and 215 were on ventilators.
