Gov. Beshear: Coronavirus Positivity Rate Hitting Plateau

Stu Johnson

Governor Beshear reports the state’s overall positivity rate, according to his office, registered below 12% for the fifth day in a row.

The governor called what he termed a ‘plateauing positivity rate’ as great news for Kentucky, particularly with more coronavirus vaccines being administered each week.

Beshear announced 3433 new COVID-19 cases along with 49 additional deaths.  The total number of deaths across Kentucky now stands at 3243.

The top six counties in coronavirus cases for Wednesday are Jefferson, Fayette, Kenton, Boone, Warren, and Daviess.

Earlier in the day, Beshear shared a congratulatory message to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.?
