Gov. Beshear: Keep Up The Fight Against Coronavirus

governor.kygov

For the eighth straight day, Kentucky has seen a drop in the coronavirus positivity rate.  Governor Beshear says he hopes that information gives Kentuckians the courage and grit to maintain social distancing and mask wearing.

The state’s positivity rate fell below 9% to 8.8%.  The governor reported 3,691 new coronavirus cases and an additional 22 deaths.

Beshear said the numbers are still high and officials are watching to see about any increases tied to the Thanksgiving holiday.  But, the governor said progress is being made in the fight against the virus.

The counties with the most positive cases Friday are Jefferson, Fayette, Kenton, Boone, Pulaski, Warren, and Hardin.  Each of those counties reported 100 or more cases.
