Kentucky COVID-19 Site Reports More than 500 Cases among College Students in Past 2 Weeks

A section of Kentucky’s COVID-19 website shows an increasing number of cases in 76 colleges and universities across the state. The ‘College and University Public Health Report’ shows that in the past 14 days the University of Kentucky reported 130 cases of COVID-19 among students.

The University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University each confirmed 56 student cases of the virus. Murray State University had 46 cases among students. Colleges and universities report cases to their local health departments and those are sent on to Kentucky Department for Public Health. <--break->

In the past 2 weeks, there have been 554 students with confirmed cases of the virus at the 76 colleges and universities listed in the state report. Since the reporting began, there have been nearly 56-hundred cases of COVID-19 among students at those colleges. The report is at KYcovid19.ky.gov.
