Kentucky Voices Returns Dec. 8 to Highlight Kentucky Authors
Hosted by Kentucky Conservation Committee, the event in Frankfort, Ky., will feature readings by Gov. Paul Patton, LeTonia Jones, Byron Crawford, and Richard Taylor
Kentucky Voices, an annual event to celebrate Kentucky’s renowned literary and artistic tradition, returns to an in-person gathering this year at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, at the Church of the Ascension, 311 Washington Street, in Frankfort, Ky. Kentucky Voices is free for Kentucky Conservation Committee members, and we also welcome the general public. We appreciate donations to support our work.

Donations to KCC are appreciated to support our mission, and KCC welcomes new members to join. Dues are $15 for students and $40 for a standard membership.
Kentucky Voices 2023 will include a reception with wine and cheese, followed by readings and book-signings by these distinguished Kentucky authors:
Gov. Paul Patton, former governor of Kentucky, reading from his new memoir, “The Coal Miner Who Became Governor”
LeTonia Jones, poet and social-justice advocate, reading from her debut collection of poetry, “Black Girl at the Intersection”
Byron Crawford, television and print journalist, reading from “The Back Page: Byron Crawford’s Kentucky Living Columns”
Richard Taylor, former Kentucky poet laureate, English professor, and co-owner of Poor Richard’s Books in Frankfort, reading from “Fathers,” his collection of personal essays
