Gallery Opening: Enchanted Meadow | Forest Muse - photographs by Evelyn Astrid Knight

Gallery Opening: Enchanted Meadow | Forest Muse - photographs by Evelyn Astrid Knight

Join us FRI JUL 17 4:30-8:30 at Mill & Max in Lex for refreshments during Gallery HOP for the opening reception of our summer exhibit! Evelyn’s photographs blend our in-focus, tangible world with a blurry, ambiguous liminal dimension, encouraging us to contemplate our assumptions about the everyday flowers and trees we might overlook. The Forest Muse Series centers on The Tree to explore the surprising shades of feeling and energy that nature can evoke in us. In The Enchanted Meadow Series, flowers from Kentucky’s Clear Creek inhabit a multi-layered dreamscape where color and contrast transmit what lies within the image as well as beyond it.
