Troubles for City of Cumberland's Utilities

The City of Cumberland took steps to avoid possible foreclosure on delinquent bonds on Tuesday. A procedure that could have resulted in the city’s water and sewer facilities being put under receivership. Behind the foreclosure threat is a debt of $93,000 to the Department of Rural Water that came due on July 1.
