Rich Copley: Studio Players Stage 'Perfect Wedding,' Film with Ky Connection & Moonshiner's Ball

It’s time for our preview of weekend events with Rich Copley of the Lexington Herald Leader.

Rich tells WEKU’s John Hingsbergen that it’s going to be another busy weekend across Central Kentucky, beginning with the opening of a play staged by “Kentucky’s oldest community-involved theatre.”

Perfect Wedding, a play about a guy who wakes up on his wedding morning with a woman who is not his fiancee in his bed. Hilarity ensues. It's opening at Studio Players this weekend.

Mom's Night Out opens this weekend in movie theaters nationwide, and it was written by Asbury University graduate Andrea Nasfell. It's her first theatrical feature.

The Moonshiner’s Ball is a new music festival presented by the Blind Corn Liquor Pickers and featuring Vandaveer, J.D. Wilkes and the Dirt Daubers and others Friday through Sunday at Homegrown Hideaways in Berea.

Rich Copley is an arts reporter for the Lexington Herald Leader.  Information on the weekend’s events is available in Friday's edition.  You can also find out about arts and cultural events by visiting the events calendar on-line, atWEKU dot FM.
