Those companies include:

In response and out of an abundance of caution, Fresh Del Monte is recalling the following products, which were sold to retailers nationwide: Del Monte Apples with Peanut Butter (5 ounce) Peanut Butter Snack Pack (4.25 ounce), Apples and Peanut Butter (6 ounce, and 5.5 ounce), and Sandwich with Peanut Butter Cup.

Walmart and Fudgeamentals:

Fudgeamentals of Melville, New York is voluntarily recalling fudge made with Jif Peanut Butter, packaged in 8 oz. plastic containers and 16 oz. plastic trays, in response to the J.M. Smucker recall of Jif Peanut Butter due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The J.M. Smucker Company says the recalled products include the products with lot codes ranging between 1274425 – 2140425. Lot codes are included alongside best-if-used-by date.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is investigating a multistate outbreak of salmonella.

A statement from the organization says:

“CDC’s review of epidemiological information indicates that five out of five people reported consuming peanut butter and four of the five people specifically reported consuming different varieties of Jif brand peanut butter prior to becoming ill.”

The FDA has listed the following steps for consumers:

• Check if you have Jif peanut butter in your home.

• Locate the lot code on the back of the jar, under the Best If Used By Date (the lot code may be next to the Best If Used By Date for cups or squeeze pouches).

• In the lot code, if the first four digits are between 1274 and 2140, and if the next three numbers after that are '425', this product has been recalled and you should not consume this product.

Consumers are encouraged to reach out to the J.M. Smucker Company for more information if they are not sure about that to do with their products.
