Berea College places third nationally for best value school

Berea College is in the top ten on the Wall Street Journal’s list of “Best Value Colleges. The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2022 College rankings place Berea at number three nationally on the list of “Best Value Colleges.”

Berea College comes it at 148th overall, making it the highest-ranked Kentucky college. President Lyle Roelofs said the school is committed to extending educational opportunities to all students regardless of race or economic resources. Berea College is known for its non-tuition and student labor program policies.

To determine rankings, the Wall Street Journal survey considers 15 factors across four main categories. Only two private schools ranked in the top ten for the best value, Berea College and Stanford.
