Plane Passenger Spots Burglars At His House

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

An Arkansas homeowner recently caught a pair of burglars. Stephen Lynn was not home at the time or even in the neighborhood. He was flying overhead in a friend's airplane. TheJonesboro Sunsays Lynn was taking photos of his house when he spotted the criminals. He called police and gave them turn-by-turn directions leading to a bird's eye view of an arrest. It was Mr. Lynn's first aerial surveillance. In fact, his first time in a plane.

It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
