Boasting Rights: Nick Helm's Joke Is The Funniest

DAVID GREENE, host:

Good morning. I'm David Greene with a joke. Ready? I needed a password eight characters long, so I picked Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

(Soundbite of rimshot)

GREENE: That joke by comedian Nick Helm was named the funniest at Scotland's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. You're dying for another, I know. Fifth place: I was playing chess with my friend, and he said let's make things interesting. And so we stopped playing chess.

Keeping things interesting, it's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
